Engaging with indigenous businesses and communities to explore blockchain non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for bushfood traditional ownership and product provenance, creating flow-on co-benefits and promoting the uptake of NFTs within the bushfood community.

Explored the opportunities for and role of blockchain-based traceability in building more sustainable agri-food systems. The use of blockchain traceability for sustainability management can guarantee the delivery of trustworthy information and reliable sustainable claims.

Developed a scalable blockchain-enabled smart trade infrastructure with stakeholders and AgTech startups. The outcome was the 2022 ACS Digital Disruptors Awards runner-up in the ICT Research Project of the Year Category, demonstrating its potential to revolutionise the industry.

Designed a blockchain traceability solution for Australian beef that links physical, digital and content supply chains. The pilot project with stakeholders in Australia and China won two 2020 Good Design Australia Awards for its significant impact on Australian beef industry.

In collaboration with governments, industry stakeholders and importers/retailers, identified regional development and investment strategies for digital transformation to improve trade facilitation, enhance trade opportunities and market access to Asian markets.

In collaboration with the Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA) and stakeholders (businesses) in Australia and China, developed a data-driven collaborative risk management mechanism that improves supply chain risk communication and collaboration across the supply chain.
